Description

EMPLOYEE REIMBURSEMENT PROGRAM
The Employee Reimbursement Program provides financial reimbursement for expenses incurred during the academic school year.  Currently, this program provides support to employees of the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department and HealthStream who are enrolled in post-secondary educational programs. A description and criteria for each Fund is listed below.

THE METROPOLITAN NASHVILLE POLICE SUPPORT FUND
The Metropolitan Nashville Police Support Fund was created in recognition of the clear benefits higher education affords law enforcement officers and thereby citizens they serve throughout Nashville.  Applications will be accepted from sworn personnel for consideration in defraying the cost of college coursework upon its successful completion.

Eligibility Requirements:  To be eligible, personnel must be actively contributing to the department's mission and have been enrolled in an accredited college or university during the past fall/spring semester or quarter of the school year.  The applicant must be working toward an Associate, Bachelors or Graduate Degree in a social-service related field.  He/she must have attained a minimum 3.0 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.


ARTHUR E. NEWMAN SCHOLARSHIP
The Arthur E. Newman Scholarship will recognize the potential of HealthStream’s employees as they embark on a personal journey to improve their skills and further their education.

Eligibility Requirements:  To be eligible, applicants must be full-time employees of HealthStream with a minimum of one year of service. Applicants must attend an accredited junior college, college or university, in person or online, and have earned a GPA of no less than 3.0 during the academic period for which reimbursement is sought.
